Wednesday 03/11 - Another warm morning with the setting moon
in the background. We went to Copper to ski and it turned out to be one of our
worst skiing days. The Timberline lift kept on breaking down. The three times
we tried the lift, each time it would
stop at least 2 times getting to the top. It was mechanical as oppose to people
falling off the lift. The only positive to this is that that the trails were
really EMPTY. I did see something new. It was a lady skiing on a snow blade. A
snow blade is a skis that is about half the size of a regular skis. According
to the lady, you have better control on the moguls and skiing between the
trees. We tried skiing a different area and the results were the same. The
lifts either stopped or ran at a very slow pace. After abut 2 hours of this, we
called it a day and had lunch. The walkway by the ticket offices were totally
clear of snow and ice because of the warm weather. WE NEED COLD AND SNOW. After returning home,
we got ready to go to Bakers for drinks. We were charged with checking out the
place and reporting tomorrow at the Dam. Some one has to do it.
