Friday 03/06 - Friday has become the new Saturday. With all
of the new snow, people came up last night to get an early start skiing. We
went to Copper much earlier than usual and found the lift lines already with 15
minute delays. We are NOT use to that. We then tried to find an area that had
fewer skiers and shorter lift lines. We made our way over to the Rendezvous and
took it to the top of Union
Peak which is at 12,313
ft. We then skied down into Copper Bowl by taking a black diamond trail -
Rattler. This was the only area with few skiers and NO lift lines. However,
once you take the lift back up and ski all the way down to Center Village
or West Village the lines were even more. So
around 12:30pm, we called it a day. When we returned back to the parking lot (
which was totally filled) I noticed that the Far East
parking lot across the street was also filled. This means the weekend will be
BAD. No skiing for us. Tonight we will
go to the Back Country Grill in Frisco for dinner and then stop at the Grand
Opening of Baker's in Silverthorne.
