Wednesday 03/04 - The last day of this storm has left some
of the highest totals so far. BeaverCreek/Vail got 7-12 inches, while
Breck/Keystone received 6 inches of the white stuff. This has lead to some big
time totals for this storm. Beaver Creek/Vail totaled 38-41 inches and
Breck/Keystone got 18-29 inches. I did a seat of the pants measurement in our
parking lot and the ruler shows also 8 inches. The long term outlook shows
nothing but sunshine and mild temps. With the snow overnight, the trees around
the condo are full of snow. It is a beautiful scene.
We went to Keystone where it was overcast and windy. By
11am, to my surprise it started to snow. However, with no skiers around, we
decided to stick it out until 1pm. We saw a person on a ski bike getting ready
to go down hill. Many of the trails where still groomed and made for a goo ski
day. Now we need SUN, SUN and more SUN.
