Tuesday 03/17 - Happy St Patrick's Day. Not sure whether the
overnight temp fell below 32. We had water puddles in the driveway. We went to
Keystone very early and were the first skiers on the lift. We were FRONT ROW.
Being in the first chairlift, we were able to ski on totally groomed trails
from one end of the mountain to the other. The trails were well groomed and
free of ice. It was a good feeling. We skied til 10:30am when the snow really
started to soften and the crowds arrived. We then did double duty and went to
A-Basin. The snow was still firm and we did a couple of runs. After skiing we
went to the Dam for lunch and had corn beef and cabbage and green beer. After
lunch, we returned home, cleaned up and put on our green shirts and beads and
went to JJ's Bar in Copper Mtn for music and visit our Irish Friends in costume.
It was a long day and when we returned, we went right to bed. Hopefully the
weather may change and it will get a little colder.
