Monday 03/02 - Yes it snowed yesterday and last night but it
only mounted to about 1 inch. The snow storms have all been dumping their snow
south and west of here. Telluride and Wolf's Creek have gotten 3-4 feet of snow. Not sure what
we would do with that amount of snow. This morning depending which direction
you looked, you saw blue sky or cloudy and light snow falling in the mountains.
We went to Keystone where the temps were in the mid 30s but the wind was
blowing. We decided to ski the North
Peak section of the
mountain where we had most of the trails to ourselves and very little wind. We
had lunch at the Lodge where everything seems to be $14.95 or higher, even Mac
and Cheese or a slice of pizza. On the lift leaving North Peck we saw the tree that people call
the "BRA TREE". Returning to
the front side of Keystone, the wind was still blowing and we called it a day.
At night, we went to the Dam for cocktails. Rumor has it that a new Brew Pub -
Bakers's , will be opening on Friday. We may just have to check it out.
