Thursday 02/05 - It was a beautiful sunrise over the
mountains this morning. The sky was red with the rising sun. On the lake you
could see someone was out making first tracks on the newly fallen snow. We went
to Copper Mtn and boy did we have a great time. On the bus from the parking lot,
we met about 10 hikers who were going overnight to Jenny's Cabin. They had with
them many backpacks of gear. One hiker had a combination ski and snow board.
You can unlock the snow board, so that it becomes a pair of skis. What will
they think of next.
We skied Copper Bowl which is on the back side of the
mountain. Snow conditions were excellent. The scenery in the back bowl is
breath taking. Glad we made it back there. We came home around 2:30pm and we
both took a nap in getting ready to go out tonight. Lets hope we have a little
more snow.
