Monday 02/02/15 - Groundhog Day

Monday 02/02 - Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we will have 6 more weeks of winter. However, Staten Island Chuck didn't see his shadow, so Spring is right around the corner. It is confusing. The Super Bowl didn't get much play in the newspapers. The headlines were all about the Ski Championships at Vail and Beaver Creek. In fact,  some of the skiers I talked with this morning, didn't know who won nor did they care. While we had some overnight snow, the skiing at Keystone was icy and bare in spots. I think I will continue to go to Copper until we get more snow. While we thought about going to Breckenridge to see the Ice Sculptures, my grandson - Jesse Jr entered the State of Maine sculpting contest in Camden Maine. He sculpted a snow tardis
which s a time machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who. I am sure he would have been in the running in the Breckenridge contest. Tonight, we go to Pug Ryans and the Dam to see if we won any pools.
