Sunday 02/08 - It was a little overcast this morning so the
temps didn't rise quickly. It was 31 much of the morning and didn't climb into
the 40s until 1pm. Then it became another sunny and cloudless day. We decided
to try snow shoeing the Frisco Nordic trail. When we entered the trail we had
to make a decision whether we would head for Breckenridge or Copper Mtn. The
trail to Copper was 6.5 miles so we started. But as we got into the trail about
a mile, we saw signs warning of Avalanche danger. So we turned around and
decided to just walk the streets of Frisco. As we walked around town, we came upon
a wood craving store that featured wood bears. Our favorites were the bears
holding signs of GOT BEER and GOT WINE. It was a wonderful mild day. Lets hope
cold and snow is the way.
