Sunday 02/01 - It was a beautiful morning. No additional
snow fell overnight. The temps were in the low teens and the wind was blowing
steadily over the lake at about 20MPH making it feel a lot colder. We went to
the supermarket after mass to get our jelly donuts and look to bring chicken
wings to the Super Bowl party. As we went pass the cake area, there were plenty
of Football cakes still available. I don't believe there is the same interest
in the game as last year. Of course Denver
isn't in it. As we looked out onto the lake, no activities were underway. Maybe
it is just too windy. Tomorrow a lot
will be going on. The start of the World Ski Championships in Vail/Beaver Creek
will make those ski areas hard to get to and ski. In Breckenridge, they will be
announcing the winners of the Ice Sculpture Contest and of course it will be
Groundhog Day. Lets hope for 6 more weeks of WINTER. And the winner is - New
England
