Thursday 01/15/15

We spent the remainder of Wednesday 01/14 and all day Thursday 01/15 getting the condo into shape. We had to unload our car and then retrieve boxes that we left with our friends in Dillon. Since it was Wednesday, we had to go to the Arapahoe Cafe for $6 burgers and then to the Dam Brewery for a birthday party for one of our friends. Thursday we spent food shopping and getting our skis tuned up. The weather has been warm (temps in the single digits to low 30s in the afternoon). No new snow has fallen since last Sunday. So the mountains can use a snow storm.

Reading the local newspaper, we found out that the town of Breckenridge was having its annual Ullr Fest parade in the evening. This parade is to honor the God of Snow. We attended the parade and just before, the people attempted to establish a record shot skis of 777 people drinking a vodka shot mounted on a skis. The host for this event was the Weather Channel with Jim Cantore as the announcer. Well they easily set the new mark. This was then followed by the parade.
